WhatsApp

WhatsMine connects to the official WhatsApp Business Platform (Meta Cloud API). This page covers connecting your WhatsApp number, managing message templates, setting up auto-replies and adding a chat widget to your website.

Connecting WhatsApp

Location: Inbox → Channel Setup (/app/inbox/setup) or WhatsApp → Setup

The easiest way to connect is Embedded Signup — a guided Meta pop-up that links your WhatsApp Business Account in a few clicks, with no copying of tokens.

  1. Go to Channel Setup.
  2. Click Connect WhatsApp.
  3. A Meta window opens — log in, select (or create) your WhatsApp Business Account and phone number, and grant access.
  4. WhatsMine automatically exchanges the secure code, registers the webhook, and syncs your phone numbers and approved templates.

When it's done, your number appears as Connected and you can start messaging from the Inbox.

Behind the scenes

Embedded Signup handles everything for you — token exchange, webhook registration and phone number sync. Your platform administrator must have the Meta App configured first; see Meta / WhatsApp integration.

Managing a connected number

From the setup page you can:

  • Sync phone numbers — re-fetch numbers from your Meta Business account.
  • Refresh status — get the latest verification tier and quality rating.
  • Change display name — request a new verified business name.
  • Re-register webhook — fix message delivery if it stops.
  • Assign a chatbot — let an AI chatbot answer on this number.
  • Disconnect — remove the number from your workspace.

Templates

Location: WhatsApp → Templates (/app/whatsapp/templates)

WhatsApp requires pre-approved templates to start conversations and to message customers outside the 24-hour window. WhatsMine lets you create, sync and manage them.

Creating a template

  1. Click New Template.
  2. Choose a category and language.
  3. Write the content, using variables ({{1}}, {{2}}) for personalised values.
  4. Optionally add a header, footer or buttons, and upload media.
  5. Submit it — Meta reviews and approves it (usually within minutes to hours).

Syncing templates

Click Sync to pull your latest approved templates from Meta. WhatsMine also syncs them automatically every day.

Once approved, templates are available in the Inbox and in Campaigns.

Auto-replies

Location: WhatsApp → Auto-Replies (/app/whatsapp/auto-replies)

Set up instant automatic responses to incoming messages — for example, an out-of-hours message or a keyword-triggered reply.

📸 Screenshot: The Auto-Replies configuration.

Create rules that fire when a message matches your conditions and send a predefined response — perfect for greetings, FAQs and "we'll be right with you" acknowledgements. For more advanced logic, use Automations.

Website chat widget

Location: WhatsApp → Widget (/app/whatsapp/widget)

Add a floating "Chat on WhatsApp" button to your website so visitors can start a WhatsApp conversation with you in one click.

📸 Screenshot: The widget builder with a live preview.

  1. Go to Widget and click Create.
  2. Customise the button (position, colours, greeting, your number).
  3. Copy the generated embed snippet.
  4. Paste it into your website's HTML.

The widget loads from your platform, so it always reflects your latest settings.
